Feeding Bodies & Souls in South Africa
Recently, Breedlove had the opportunity to go to Neosho, Missouri to a youth rally called Jumpstart.  This is a yearly event that brings together Christian youth groups from all over Arkansas, Missouri, and Oklahoma for a weekend of fun and fellowship.  Breedlove was invited to go to Jumpstart by a group of people involved in an Accapella music ministry (Free Indeed) who were going to be performing for the teens at the rally.  The group recently returned from a trip to South Africa where reality hit and they were changed.  Free Indeed, Watershed Worship, One Spirit, VHF, and Inside Out are now on a mission to raise funds to send Breedlove food shipments to South Africa.

Teenagers with BIG HEARTS!!
A special experience shared by Jenelle Nash.

I have to say that I was shocked at what I learned about the teenagers at Jumpstart! Watershed asked me to speak during two classes they were going to be teaching. Chris Lindsey of Watershed spoke to them about how important mission work is and how it affects everyone involved. He talked to them about what the bible says about taking care of the poor. He introduced me and I talked to them about Breedlove, what we do, why we do it, and how little it takes to have an impact with our food.

Their response was amazing! When I sat down, one of the teen guys got up and, with a sincerity in his eyes that I hadn't seen in a long time, handed me a folded bunch of money. He then returned to his seat. After fighting back tears, I counted what he handed me and excitedly gave it to Mike, one of the Watershed guys. He told the rest of the teens that we were going to be able to feed about 500 people because of this one young man's selfless gift of $19! We could feel a shift in the room. It was intense and genuine.

I stood up to tell them goodbye as they were dismissed and as they passed, they emptied their pockets and wallets into my hands!! I stood with my mouth gaping and my eyes glistening as they filed past me, building a pile of money that I could barely hold. All I could do was thank them and tell them how proud I was of them. It wasn't as much the growing mound of money in my hands that touched me as it was the heartfelt desire to help that I saw in their eyes! They were so excited to be a part of something real that would truly touch lives and possibly change them. They have already succeeded. They have renewed my faith in the hearts of teens.

After 2 classes, these TEENAGERS had given $1,049.97!!

Jumpstarters: I AM SO PROUD OF YOU!!!!

You started something great! After the adults found out what the teens had done, they started writing checks and handing me cash. After the 2 day event was over, I came back to Breedlove with $3,324.08!!!

Help us continue what these teens started! This is just the beginning. We need your help to send 1 million servings of nutritious food to the hungry of South Africa.
