A foster family is saved through God's Provision
"Through strategic partnerships with more than twenty schools and children's homes in Uganda, legacy World Missions directly targets the issues that challenge the country's future. By working directly with schools, orphanages and outreach organizations, Legacy World Missions can target specific areas of development.
Like many busy urban cities all over the world, Uganda's capitol Kampala has a large population of homeless people. However, fully half of the Kampala's residents are below the age of fifteen and homeless children living on the streets are a common sight. Orphaned by war, malaria and HIV/AIDS, literally tens of thousands of children barely survive by foraging through trash for scraps. Drug abuse, theft and prostitution are common. Many of these children die in the garbage dumps where they pick for scraps of food.
Legacy World Missions is the primary partner for an innovative outreach program that targets Kampala's most vulnerable kids-those who have lost one or both parents.
Many of these children end up in large orphanages where few adults are serving as guardians to 100's of children. In one such orphanage the woman in charge began to worry that they would run out of food. Breedlove Foods Inc had delivered food the year before, but it is incredibly uncommon for one location to receive a shipment of food multiple times.
The foster mother called a meeting with all of her children and told them that they only had enough food for 1 more day. She began to weep and many of her children joined her. They were scared. They had finally found a home and a family, but without food they would have to leave, probably to return to the dump grounds pillaging for food.
One young man, around 14 years old, stood up and called out to his mother. He told her not to be scared that God was looking out for them and that they needed to pray. As a family, the entire orphanage prayed together.
Through His infinite mercy, God heard his people cry out to Him and the following morning His provision led a Breedlove truck through their gates.
As the truck was unloaded, the truck driver was moved by the foster family’s faith and captured their joy in the above photo."

No one enjoys eating the same thing every day, so one of the things we pride our food on the most is flexibility. There are endless ways to use our food if the chef is innovative enough to try. In the image to the left is a pair of burritos made using our Black Beans and Rice.
